Your delivery policy
You don't tell us your fee — we work it out from what driving actually costs, and hand you the number to type into Fanfaire.
Billed vs true cost
What you recover
| One-way | Miles driven | Delivery billed | True travel cost | Gap | Recovery |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 mi | 9.0 | $0 | $13 | -$13 | 0% |
| 6 mi | 18.0 | $0 | $25 | -$25 | 0% |
| 10 mi | 30.0 | $43 | $42 | $1 | 102% |
| 15 mi | 45.0 | $64 | $63 | $1 | 102% |
| 20 mi | 60.0 | $85 | $84 | $1 | 102% |
| 30 mi | 90.0 | $128 | $125 | $2 | 102% |
| 50 mi | 150.0 | $213 | $209 | $4 | 102% |
Miles driven is more than 2x the one-way distance because some jobs need a return trip to strike. At your current mix that averages 3.00 legs per job (2 legs for leave-behind, 4 when you go back to collect).
Fee per mile to enter in Fanfaire
$4.25
Driving costs you $1.39 a mile once you count the truck and the clock. Fanfaire bills one-way distance, so the fee has to carry the 3.0 legs you actually drive — two out and back, plus the return trips your backdrop pickups add: $1.39 × 3.0 = $4.25 per one-way mile. You are not overcharging — you are billing the round trip inside a one-way number.
At that fee a mile of delivery is worth $21/hr of crew time, against your $95/hr install crew target.
Suggested delivery minimum: $150 — the order value a job inside your free zone needs before the garland covers the drive. The full minimum-by-distance chart is on your results screen.
